How the underwater light attracts fish
| The Underwater Light works by creating a unique night environment for bait fish and other species. For years, fisherman have been using a strong shore light, or dock lights pointed at the surface of the water to attract fish. These traditional fishing lights are nothing near what our fishing green light can accomplish. |
Our Submersible Underwater Light takes this concept a few steps further. First thing is most people use the Underwater Light as a semi-permanent fixture. When we say this, we mean that a light when put out normally stay in the same general area for weeks, months or years at a time. This helps the fish create an ecosystem around the underwater green light that is stable. Over time, the bait fish, and other sea and lake life learn to depend on the bulbs heat, and light to attract food. By having the underwater light, you are able to create a permanent lighted and heated environment that almost all marine life are drawn to. Bait fish, ground species (crabs, shellfish, plants) are all drawn to the light. A good way to look at the submersible light is as a good place for the sea life to create a "home", knowing that it will be a good source of food and other vital life requirements. Since all the bait fish, and ground species like the light so much, it is only a natural conclusion that the BIG FISH will also be drawn to the underwater light for the same reasons!
| In different water conditions, various types of bait fish or bugs can be drawn to the lights. The picture here is an example of when the may flies were mating. There were so many fish in the lights this night, that the owner said they could have caught 20 at a time with a cast net. See the Fish Picture Gallery for more pics from this evening. |
